The Signs of Flea and Tick Infestation

Here are some indicators that you may have a flea or tick problem:

  • Pet scratching and biting: These pesky parasites cause discomfort and irritation to animals, leading to incessant scratching, hair loss, and skin infections.

  • Flea dirt and eggs: Fleas leave behind small, dark reddish-brown or black specks known as flea dirt. Their eggs are tiny white ovals. You may find them on your pet's fur or coat, your bedding, or in carpeted areas. 

There’s also the most obvious sign of all—directly finding fleas or ticks when you inspect your pet. Look for small, dark brown insects that move quickly (fleas) or flat, oval-shaped arachnids that latch onto the skin (ticks).
